Here’s how Flourish membership works
Enrolment opens three times a year. You can start the rolling 12-month programme at any of these points (and there’s no requirement to commit to the whole year).
You’ll get access to a new, satisfying textile art project every month.
Easy-to-follow videos will get you started, showing you the techniques you need, suggesting materials to use, and giving ideas and inspiration.
Each project explores a new technique or theme. So, over 12 months, you get to try out all the key skills of textile mixed media art.
If you decided to book the full 12 months you will save 15% which is nearly 2 months free! Also when completing the full 12 months cycle you will have an extra 2 months free access to all the projects.
What materials do we use in the membership?
Every month we approach mixed media textiles differently, but we tend to use similar fabrics and art materials so you’re not having to buy lots of different supplies each month. I am also big believer in using what you have!
Here is the list of materials we mainly use:
- Cotton Canvas / Lutradur / Dobby cottons
- Fabric paints / Fabric spray paints
- Selection paint brushes
- Cotton rag paper
- Expandable paint /Light moulding paste
- Mesh / voile / scrim / Organza
- Machine threads and hand embroidery threads
- Found items / nature for mark-making and printing
- Sketchbook and drawing pen
This is remote learning, but we’re truly connected...
Lively Zoom sessions
Our monthly group Zooms are where we have fun talking through the current project. (Alternates between Saturday mornings and weekday evenings.)
You also get a FREE one-to-one session with me, Ellie Hipkin, at any point during your membership. Worth £90, this is a chance to ask all your questions, get personalised guidance and leave feeling inspired.
Plus there are occasional bonus interviews with other textile artists.

Everyone brings something different
You might have a background in embroidery, dressmaking, quilting, knitting or felting.
Perhaps you’ve enjoyed a bit of painting, printmaking, sketching or watercolour.
You may feel completely new to all of it!
But what connects everyone at Flourish is a desire to create magic by bringing these varied elements together through mixed media art.
Three reasons I know you can fit it in
If you’re still reading, it’s because you love the idea of some textiley goodness, every month. So there’s the first thing – you’re motivated.
Secondly, you’ve got a whole month to complete each project. Decide when you’re going to do it and let everyone know it’s non-negotiable. Then look forward to some peaceful creativity.
The programme is realistic too. We slow things down with a lighter project in the busy month of December. For summer we go out into nature looking for inspiration with fun creative activities. And if you miss the group Zoom it’s no big deal – there are lots of other ways to connect, and you can watch the recording in our Facebook group.
Finally, learning to keep art on your priority list is a central theme of Flourish. My job is to help you believe in the value of your art, learn new habits and develop a confident mindset.
With a bit of structure, you’ll find it’s easy… and I’m there to help you stay on track.
