In this project, we’ll create a spring blossom-inspired artwork (though the techniques can easily be adapted for any season). We’ll start by painting an abstract fabric background, then embroider into the negative space to build the floral design. To complete the piece, we’ll layer painted fabric for appliqué with free motion embroidery.
